Duration: 2.5 hours taster / 4 week course

The Creating Poetry course is delivered by published author and teacher Helen Aitchison. The course will give learners the opportunity to explore and develop poetry writing skills.

Over the duration of the course, learners will gain an insight into the poetry writing world.

Content includes:

• Myth busting
• Styles of poetry
• Writing exercises
• Marketing and first-hand accounts from published poets
• Writing for competitions and submissions
• Publishing routes

Please note: taster sessions will provide light touch information and guidance. 4 week courses will provide in-depth, practical activities and tutor feedback.
