Duration: 2.5 hours taster / 4 week course

The Flash Fiction & Short Stories course is delivered by published author and teacher Helen Aitchison. The course will give learners the opportunity to explore and develop skills to produce short pieces. A perfect course for new writers interested in the craft and who wish to experiment with genre.

Over the duration of the course, learners will gain an insight into the writing short pieces world.

• Types of short writing, genre and style
• Writing exercises
• Experimenting with voice, plot and character
• Marketing and first-hand accounts from published writers
• Writing for competitions and submissions
• Publishing routes

Please note: taster sessions will provide light touch information and guidance. 4 week courses will provide in-depth, practical activities and tutor feedback.
