Duration: 4 week course

The Novel Writing course is delivered by published author and teacher Helen Aitchison. The course will give learners the opportunity to explore and develop writing a novel. From a taster course to more in-depth, it provides useful, practical information for those with a story to tell.

Over the duration of the course, learners will gain an insight into the world of novel writing.

• Types of novels and genre – including fiction / non-fiction / memoir
• Novel trends
• Marketing and first-hand accounts from published authors
• Telling your story – from idea to finished piece
• Writing exercises
• Novel structure
• Publishing routes

Please note: taster sessions will provide light touch information and guidance. 4 week courses will provide in-depth, practical activities and tutor feedback.
