In the Footsteps of Walker Women launch!

In partnership with charity, Pottery Bank Community Centre and with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we launched In the Footsteps of Walker Women yesterday.

This collection of fifteen incredible, inspiring, and insightful stories of history, community, and overcoming adversity, feature women from Walker and Byker, in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The launch was a chance to thank and celebrate the story holders and share the amazing work of Pottery Bank Community Centre. We all had a brilliant day! Have a look at a my YouTube video taster of the book and please consider purchasing this read, click here. Proceeds from sales are shared between both the non-profit organisations involved.

“This was a collection I didn’t know I needed, but I feel enriched, empowered and enlightened for having read it.” (bobsandbooks.wixsite.com)

Massive thanks to Pottery Bank for commissioning WOTT to create and publish this book and to the women who let me into their minds, hearts, and souls, and who now hold a place in mine.

Big thanks to all that came along to help us celebrate and support team WOTT, including my non-exec directors, Caroline and Alison and Imarah, who was a wonderful assistant.
