Write on the Tyne – Creative writing services

Established in 2022, Write on the Tyne offers a catalogue of writing services for individual and group needs. As a community interest company, the not for profit business tries to offer services to reflect all budgets and needs. Getting the voice of marginalised people heard is key to the work by Write on the Tyne, so we will always try and offer support through existing grant funded services, where possible.
Creative writing sessions:
As a published author and using 20 years of health and social care experience, Helen Aitchison provides tailored courses to build skills and confidence. With a focus on inclusion, wellbeing and empowerment, Helen offers training sessions from 2.5 hours to 4 weeks, depending on your needs. Courses include an Introduction to Creative Writing, Writing for Wellbeing, Prompt Writing, Recovery Writing, Novel Writing, Creating Poetry, Writing for Children, Flash Fiction & Short Stories, Routes to Publication and 1-2-1 Mentoring.
Community projects:
Write on the Tyne work with community groups and charities to produce bespoke publications around your specifications. Commissioned projects may include creating an anthology, group writing projects and publications.
Projects completed in 2022 include Veterans’ Voices anthology with Operation Veteran CIC, North Tyneside.
Helen can also support with writing training packages for your services in the health and social care field.
Individual services:
Helen can provide 1-2-1 writing mentoring, tailored to your writing goals.
Ghost writing is also available if you have a story to tell but would like someone to write it for you.
All publications are published through Write on the Tyne.
