White Ribbon day was on the 25th November, and the start of sixteen days of campaigning to end men’s violence against women and girls. This year, the focus was on encouraging organisations and individuals to make consistent choices and actions to #ChangeTheStory, allowing women and girls to live without fear of violence.
Write on the Tyne is a registered White Ribbon support organisation and as such, took part in the campaign (as well as raising awareness all year round). This year, we made and sold white ribbons for a local domestic abuse and sexual violence support group. Alongside this, Paul, our commercial director at Write on the Tyne, raised awareness at his day job.

I was also lucky enough to interview bestselling author, Danielle Ramsey as part of the sixteen days of action. Danielle’s book, The Perfect Husband is based on her own experiences of domestic abuse.
