I have been lucky enough to work with councils in South Teesside over the last eight months to produce an anthology. The area received funding through the government initiative, Changing Futures, to support the improvement of partnership working and strengthen services for people with complex needs.
My role was to create a book of experiences from local people, documenting their own journey, thoughts, sense of place, and recovery, through poetry and prose.
We had an amazing launch this week, with some story-holders sharing pieces in a room full of professionals. They were phenomenal, and I am grateful to have been commissioned to deliver such an important legacy of the Changing Futures national programme.
Changing Futures South Tees is available online and in bookshops.
