DUTY
I have just finished reading ‘Duty’ by Jeff Stephenson.
I’m not one for reading and haven’t picked a book up in 13 years. But after knowing Jeff since I joined the Fire Service and spending around 4 years on Golf Green with him, I had to pick this book up.
What a story, what a life and it was really well written by ‘Write on the Tyne’. I couldn’t put the book down and have read it in less than 24 hrs.
Thank you for sharing you life with us all Jeff! Your one of life’s good guys and someone im proud to call a friend!

DUTY
Setting aside some time to enjoy what I knew would be a good read yesterday, given the title and the back page synopsis, I became utterly gripped and immersed from the first page and read it in one long and enjoyable sitting. I laughed at times and cried at others.
Duty is an extraordinary autobiography about a man who has spent his life living and breathing an incredibly strong sense of “duty”. Jeff writes about his beloved North Shields in the Northeast of England and the stalwart community in which he grew up. He describes true friendships lasting the course of time right from childhood, through to present times.
